Very elegant! I've seen some crocheted pieces, but this is so much better. I also love the setting you gave to the stone - off-center and with wire over it. Makes your design so intriguing to the eye

I have tried knitting wire before...it takes forever for a small piece even...and in making sure that the wire does not snap in between,,,,

it was actually crochetted, and yes - it took a bit of time to do so :D the secret is to use Fine Silver istead of Sterling Silver, it's softer, more pliable and it didn't snap even once! and I've already crochetted quite a number of different shapes.

That is amazing. For all the beauty of the background detail, I think the contrasting spider looking bit and the elgant bail are my favorite elements. I just tried netting for the back of a piece, now you make me want to pull it into the piece itself!

thanks a lot for all these words :D
try it - it's fun and as I mentioned before: it's better to use Fine Silver wire, not Sterling one.

I can't swing the metal prices. I think I'm going to be playing mostly in copper for awhile now ;)
